Receiver wire adjustment

The professional should have measured both your ears to order receivers with the proper length cables.

Some people, like me, fit between sizes. My professional ordered size 3. When I later commented they were too long, he looked at how the aids fit and agreed.

He ordered size 2 receivers and they fit much better.

Other than possibly slightly bending the cable, there is no adjustment of the length.

Many wires can be warmed and reformed. Have audiologist do it. Don’t overheat aid.

if the wire is sticking out too far when he has the receiver inserted correctly then he needs the shorter receiver. which s/b a freebie swap. if you got too much wire you can reform it however you like but you still got too much wire. if he reforms it to get a closer fit then his HA is going to be riding higher above his ear. why pay $k’s and then settle for a jury rigged receiver (if he doesn’t break it trying).
