Phonak Nadia Q90 up...voices sound like a blown speaker

I definitely don’t have anything technical to add, but I am curious how this all turned out. So great that your audiologist has been so honest with you, and has gone out of their way to make this happen. How did it go?

My wife has the Phonak Naida Q 90 UP. I started programming at myself last fall. She was complaining that the music sound wasn’t very pleasant. At one point I listened myself, On tele-coil, to the sound from headphones, which is the way she usually listens (she has also tried ComPilot but that’s not as nice; These are high-quality NAD headphones). I could tell the sound was very distorted. The hearing aid was not in my ear — it was at least a foot away — so it has nothing to do with the ear canal, Etc. The aid itself is distorting the sound.

I also tried this with her previous aid, the supero. Same thing.

Her loss is 110 DB and the volume is maxed out so I think it’s just too much for the receiver. I don’t know if If this relates to the above persons problem, but it certainly does sound like a blown speaker.

I’m planning to order the Naida B for her, and hopefully will be better.
