Phonak pronunciation curiosity

Since becoming aware of hearing aids and then my mother having this brand, I’ve been curious about the pronunciation of the brand.
Is it fawn-ic or is it foe-nack? Or something else?
Of course I’m wondering about standard North American newsreader accent :slight_smile: not other English accents or local accents. Except for the possible foreign accent of the brand name. Maybe I should ask…how does the company and brand call itself?
Just curious.

Phone-ack.

I can think of at least two ways to pronounce “Phoe” (foo, foe), so that is not a helpful pronunciation hint for me.

Many years ago Eastman coined the name “Kodak” for its cameras. The trademark was selected because it was obvious how it should be pronounced. It’s not so easy with many trade names today.

However, I think Phonak is a pretty good name, and think most should be able to pronounce it correctly.
