Sorry I was replying to your comment. I meant is there any de-featuring other than. 312 and no tinnitus!
Thanks

Costco generally doesn’t offer tinnitus therapies in their offerings or doesn’t activate it. I’m not sure 312 is a de-feature per se. I think there might be some slightly less internal programming options. Beyond that…dunno.

Other defeaturing: It didn’t get the Marvel 2.0 update so it hasn’t gotten 1) the much improved app, 2) the ability to pair to two devices (versus one) via and 3)ability to use Roger Direct microphones.

As I was just about to order the KS9s, I read the review on Phonak Marvel below:
“Phonak say there is an issue with the new Apple upgrade so if you have an iphone DO NOT upgrade to IOS 13 yet”.
Phonak Audéo Infinio Hearing Aids Review and Prices
Reviews, prices, and sound samples for Phonak's latest flagship hearing aid family, Audéo Infinio, including the Sphere .
Has anyone experienced this issue, i.e. incompatibility between iphone IOS 13 and KS9?

There have been lots of comments about iPhone 11 incompatibility with Marvels and presumably KS9. My take is that it’s a iPhone 11 issue, not the IOS, but always approach with caution.

I don’t have to worry about iPhone 11. The reviewer specifically cautioned readers about IOS 13. My 10-month old iPhone XR has already been upgraded to IOS 13. I wonder if anyone in this forum has an experience with KS9/IOS 13 combination.

Yes, I have an iphone that is on the latest update (13.2) I think and my KS9’s are working just fine with the iphone.

Am in trial on OPN-S and next week on Marvel . I had IPHONE-6 which was working good with OPN then got the XR with iOS 13 and voila connection drop out started . More over , oticon updates their app to the , my opinion, “worst manufacturer app”.
Also I read others, resound , widex had a the same iPhone connectivity issue , specially 11 and up.
So, basically it’s iOS issue more.

Sodaman, thanks for the assuring news.
AshFan, please let us know if the Marvels / iphone XR combination will work out well.

I am using an iPhone XR and iOS 13.1.2 and my KS9s work just fine with it.
I will add the caveat that things got a little weird with Bluetooth Phone audio in my car with hearing aids and car seemingly fighting for the connection (2018 VW Tiguan). So, I simply unlinked the car, and use my phone there via Apple CarPlay for everything but phone calls, which still go to my hearing aids.

I wonder how long it will take them to fix the bluetooth problem with the iPhone 11 and the ks9 hearing aids? It must almost be a month now.

Over all, I am very much enjoying and appreciating my KS9s, but there are some issues I have been unable to resolve and for which I would very much appreciate any guidance and suggestions.
Although I had initially expected to welcome and make use of the Bluetooth connection of my KS9s to my Android phone, it hasn’t quite worked out that way.
I really prefer my existing system of having my Moto X4 automatically switch on the speaker in my phone during incoming and outgoing calls since there is no privacy issue as I am retired and 90% of my phone calls occur when I am home, and I do have a prominent button pop up each time which allows me to switch off the speaker if and when I wish.
So instead I generally have my laptop pipe its audio into my KS9s, which is helpful because my beloved and I tend to listen to different programs at the same time during the day, and that link is very convenient for me so that we do not distract each other
But it seems that the MyLink Remote app randomly mutes my volume, as a result of which I miss announcements of incoming text messages which I get often during the day and evening from family members.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can stop this? Sometimes, it stubbornly turns it back off right after I have turned it on!

Yeah, I have learned that you need Marvel 2.0 for that, anyway. Great tools in it. Hope it comes our way if/when 2.0 does.

Most definitely. It appears that Phonak is being careful to differentiate their Marvel from KS9s. They really don’t even acknowledge that KS9s are Phonak–the app is branded as Sonova.
