Phonak announces Naída Marvel, the world’s first super-power hearing aid with universal Bluetooth connectivity

In Target the Bluetooth bandwidth setting could be causing your problem. I had to move my bandwidth setting to fixed. That fixed up the Bluetooth issues. My wife’s KS9 aids are on adaptive bandwidth and worked fine but my Audeo M90 aids needed fixed. I also use a Samsung phone.

I now have had the naida marvels for 10 days and will have for another 10 days when hopefully I will be able to trial the resound Enzo q. The biggest stumbling block with the marvels is phonak still hasn’t updated their app to handle the new naidas and that may not be available for another 10 days. I complained about the garbled sound when streaming music and apparently a lot of those apps will give you better sound streaming music if you subscribe. Fortunately they let you trial without paying and that has made the music much clearer. The speech in sound program I haven’t been able to test at all due to the current virus situation. The priority phonak program is less suppressive than the old naidas and everything is very natural sounding. My speech comprehension stinks but these seem to help with that a little although I was never expecting any miracles. I hear the birds singing in the morning which is a novelty I haven’t heard in a long time. I would at the moment recommend that anyone with a profound loss at least give these a try. I find it very annoying that the myphonak app is still not available for these aids. I feel it greatly limits what I can do with these aids. I have been given a devise by my audiologist so that I can stream the TV but I’m not expecting much. He also gave me a microphone that a person can wear because I said I couldn’t hear my wife in the car unless I turned my head. Again without that app I can only turn up the mic volume using the aids volume control and that turns up all sounds. Frustrating.

This issue might be a Bluetooth setting in Target. If the aids are set up with adaptive bandwidth you might try fixed bandwidth. It was an issue with my Audeo M aids and going to fixed bandwidth stopped the garbled sound.
One of the members said this setting could be changed on the phone app too.

I think you will find the Resound Enzo Q9 more to your liking and hearing loss. Its pure power aid that should allow you the gain you need. Of course improved speech comprehension is what you’re really looking for.

Thanks your feedback. I have ordered the naida marvels too. My audiologist said they could not compatible with phone. She suggested me to wait until the app come out.

Well phonak says another 3 weeks before before the myphonak app will be accessible for the naida marvels. Maybe it’s because of the virus thing. Unfortunately I can’t hold onto the naidas for trialing, for months. That’s just not fair to others who may be waiting. Im supposed to try the resound Enzo q if they are avavailable in which case I’ll have to move on. Disappointing that a company that put out an aid for those with a profound loss didn’t have the app available at the same time.

My assumption is your Audi will be able to make more adjustments on your Enzo Q (98) with Resound software hookup versus Phonak. And that’ a good thing since those with a severe to profound hearing loss need all the help they can get. Also I think the Resound aids stream as well as Phonak, maybe better. Since I have not tested the ENZO Q yet I have no idea of sound quality/clarity. Some posters here feel the ENZO Q power aid is a definite improvement over the Resound LiNX 3D. Guess we find out in a couple weeks if true.

Tomorrow I will pick up the resound Enzo q and return the naida marvels. Nothing really wrong with the naidas, very natural sounding but phonak still hasn’t updated their myphonak app and may not for a while now. And the Enzo q are available

See which one you hear better with, and make your decision on that. The app will come. I trialed the Quattro platform and Marvel platform, and for my Severe-profound loss, Marvel had me saying “what?” Much, much less than Quattro. YMMV

No I trialed the naida marvels and the oticon xceed

@Raudrive, yeah I trialed Quattro RIC and then Audeo. Stuck with Audeo M90-13T no questions asked. That being said, the platforms are very similar, just with power aids, hence me chiming in on his topic.

My biggest problem right now is no app. The app supposedly will make it possible to adjust things. An example is a remote mic worn by a second party. Right now I can only adjust the volume using my hearing aid. That adjusts all volume. I need to be able to adjust mic volume independently from my aids. Same thing with streaming from the TV. Same thing with the hearings aids themselves. I can’t keep going back to the audi to constantly try different tweaks. But it looks like with the resound app I can do exactly that.

Have you considered the Nadia M aids? You are pushing the Audeo aids to their limit.
