@Raudrive What you’re experiencing is exactly how it was for me. That occlusion like sound went away, I suspect related to the fluid. Wound didn’t itch too bad, that of course varies by person. What ointment are you keeping on it?

No ointment at this time. Doctor didn’t mention it so I haven’t used any. Figured the goal was to let it dry out rather than keep it wet.

There is a very sticky material over the entire area. Thinking it is a spray on bandage. Two showers have not removed this sticky material.

Interesting regarding sticky material. Does it seem to be clear or a reddish orange? If reddish orange, it could be betadine, a common antiseptic.

Initially there was an orangish/brown discoloration in the area including in the hair. Now that color is gone but the clear/shiny sticky material is still there.

The orangish/brown was most likely betadine. Had not heard of clear coatings, but then again it’s been a long time since I did hospital nursing.

Differences…
Removed protective bowl next day after surgery.
Told it’s ok to shower next day and also gently washing the surgery area.
Last night I was able to sleep with the ear on the pillow.

I have a feeling this clear sticky material has something to do with our schedule differences.

I kept the cup on longer for due diligence, not that it was recommended. Shower was told 48 hours minimum to ensure wound was watertight; I waited an extra day. Antibiotic ointment was to be applied for 7 days, we went longer. They didn’t want the wound drying out or scabbing over, guessing to help with infection risk and scarring. Course of strong antibiotics 3x a day for 7 days. I wore the cup at night because pressure on the ear woke me up, was uncomfortable bordering on painful. I wore the cup until it was comfortable to sleep on without it (my right ear is default ear into pillow so it was harder; left will be easier since it tends to be in the air as I stomach sleep with me head pointing left).

New iPhones have dual audio . But this is working in dual mode with Airpods and Beats only. No way to connect two other BT devices at the same time.

On the other hand there exists an adaptor for Lightning interface but I didn’t test this because I can’t stream via ComPilot to my while my is turned on - Interference…
Anyway, I am looking forward to be bilateral hopefully soon.

Raudrive, Samsung and Google Phones using Android 10 should work. It is Apple who want to sell accessories…
I don’t have a date for my second :frowning:

My s9, android 9 can send media signal to 2 devices, I tested with BT taotronic headphones and . Signal was louder when I streamed only to headphones though.

I think most instructions are given assuming you’ll shorten the time, so sticking to recommendation is pretty safe. I think what you did was fine though. I think the only situation one might do oneself a disservice is if one prolonged the time to remain relatively inactive (thinking surgery in general, not necessarily )

I always am very conservative with following doctor’s instructions. They tell me I should do something, I do it. With the , I figured between me and insurance I paid $50K for their advice so…

It’s day 5 after the surgery. Last day of taking antibiotics. Happy about that due to a couple side effects.

Still have liquid in the middle ear, surgery area is itchy now and then. Areas of the ear are still numb, still a touch of dizziness. Tinnitus is still bad like it was before surgery. Sure hope that goes away.

Yesterday I mowed the yard with a loud zero turn mower. I plugged my left un implanted ear and left the implanted ear open. From what I can tell hearing in my implanted ear is pretty much gone or the liquid is hindering sound some, not sure.

Not having any irritation or infection issues. The surgery area looks good. Then general area is feeling more like it did before the surgery. I can feel around and touch the area with no pain.

The audiologist has reported back that the Kanso 2 processors are in. Looks like everything is going on schedule for the October 21st activation date.
