After 3 weeks use of Philips which are compatible with iOS devices I wonder if there is a solution to the issue of having the HAs linked to both an iPhone and iPad (referred to here as ‘devices’). Currently I turn Bluetooth on for just one - either the iPhone or iPad and turn Bluetooth off on the other to avoid the issue described below.
Ideally I would turn Bluetooth on for both devices and the (Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices) switch choices would result in the device I was actively using would be the device to transmit audio to the HAs, eliminating the competition for control.
Instead I believe that both devices are competing to control the HAs volume (or at other times, program choice). The result is, for example, that when I manually change the volume on the HAs while using one of the devices when both have Bluetooth turned on, the HA’s begin to ‘hunt’ for the selected volume, resulting in a continual and somewhat random series of beeps (indicating continuing volume changes) until I turn Bluetooth off on one of the devices.
Having to manage which of the two Apple devices has Bluetooth on and which has Bluetooth off is cumbersome and a little time consuming. I will address the issue with my Audiologist at the first appointment; but I am hoping there is a known solution here.
