I ended up with the Unitron Blu model with c-shells. I actually didn’t want , I was worried that they wouldn’t work as all my older neighbours have them and complain about their ’s. But after trying them I did notice an improvement in my hearing so that made me get over my preconceptions and do what helped. I was able to get a Roger ON that does help, and especially helped on the TV, as my new Sony TV would only support 1 audio output at a time, and after some searching it seems a lot of the TVs produced now days all have the same problem so I can’t us the TV Connector. I did try a HDMI audio extractor but it didn’t work, but I may have to try some others. Have a great week.

@sstotz: I wish you a great week in return. Do you have any tech-savvy family members that could assist you in getting your Sony hooked up and working the way you want? (And I don’t mean to be nosy by that - you may be hesitating to ask for help because you don’t want to bother them, but this is one of life’s little pleasures for you, so I would not hold back a request.)

If your TV has an optical audio output port (maybe called TOSLINK), you could use that with the docking base for the Roger On to have both sound coming out of it and going to your Roger On to your . I have done something similar with one of our TVs. The dock was something like $35US on ebay, and has worked perfectly, as my Roger came without the dock. (The excuse was “chip shortage.”)

If someone can help I would be extremely grateful, as I am at my wits end. My tvis a Sony XR65X90J. I did try a HDMI audio extractor but from what I understand some will work, some won’t it all depends on your setup. Which in my case the TV is the control everything, not the soundbar as some do, so I need an audio extractor that can work on the eARC HDMI port between the TV and Soundbar which if needed is a Samsung HW-Q900A. I did try a Toslink splitter to no avail as well, headphone jack etc, and so far no luck. I hope someone has found a work around.
