I’m new to the world of hearing aids, since I just got mine for the first time three days ago. I got a pair of Phonak KS10.0 hearing aids at Costco, and they told me that I could stream audio live from two devices, such as a phone, tv, or laptop to them. The gal who set them up for me paired them with my iphone, which works great. However, I am now trying to pair them with my laptop, but cannot seem to make the connection.
The laptop is a Bluetooth-enabled device and is shown as ‘now discoverable’ in its settings menu. And, of course, it is only about two feet away from my hearing aids, so distance can’t be a problem. So, my problem, here, is that I can’t figure out why I cannot pair/connect the laptop to the hearing aids.
The information that came with the hearing aids says that I can pair/connect two devices to them. Does the pair of hearing aids, itself, count as one of the devices? Surely not, but I don’t really know. My iphone counts as one device, of course, so I was thinking that, if the hearing aids count as a device, themselves, then I now cannot also pair/connect the laptop, unless I ‘unpair’ the iphone first. Is that right or is there some other reason why I can’t seem to pair/connect my laptop to the hearing aids? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
