No, it completely wipes the phone (except the SD card).
So I had to back up my pictures, SMS txts, etc and redownload third party apps.

I get streaming loss when I’m outside or in VERY big rooms. I think it is lack of reflections off the walls when you go outside. My guess. I live in a very rural area. Nothing else to interfere. Hundreds of yards to the other houses. Worse in the open grass than in the woods. Still occurs in our sparse woods.

I think it’s great. Charge extortionate prices because they’re “medical devices”? Hold them accountable.

There is true Bluetooth then there is ever other variations of Bluetooth. MFI and android ASHA is a subset and not true Bluetooth Bluetooth.
They’re all Bluetooth. MFI and use LE and they’re not official Bluetooth SIG standards, but they’re just as much Bluetooth. The problem may be that LE was designed for bursts of data which doesn’t suit streaming. Isonchronous channels was designed with audio in mind and we’ll see that in .
Anyone using the Phone Clip’s to overcome these issues? I love my TV streamer, never drops one aid, always connects and sounds amazing.
My Oticon Connect Clip never really did it for me. I could never rely on it. Probably more to do with Bluetooth on my phone than the device itself. I finally relented and got a cheap iphone as an interim measure.
LE is a less strong signal and classic Bluetooth is a stronger signal, which is less likely to be overrun by Wifi.
I don’t think classic bluetooth has a stronger radio. Happy to be corrected.

As a IT professional I believe you need to real think about what I have explained and wrote. By the way LE means low energy.

Not all brands have this issue. I am trailing Costco’s Philips HearLink 9030 hearing aids. The bluetooth connectivity, while limited in scope, is rock solid. The limitation is that all signals go through the phone, in my case an Android 12 phone using to communicate to the aids. Phone calls are solid, using the phone’s mike. Streaming through the phone is solid. If I want to stream from my laptop, I have to send the signal to the phone–there are apps for that. This introduces a noticeable delay between a video on the laptop and what I hear. I suspect that this would make streaming from a TV problematic.
Now if you try to be all things to all people and claim to do so, then @mr.smithster may have a legitimate complaint.

My More1 aids are rock solid most of the time, they will lose connectivity with large radio frequency interference, but that is even true of almost any device including vehicle radios. By the way your aids are made by the same parent company as my aids and I bet in the right instead of issues you will have the same issues too. As a retired IT Professional companies don’t design the same thing more than they have to they adapt the same items to different uses.

I think what you’re saying is that in a in an environment with a lot of radio noise I would also have issues with the Philips aids. That may be, but that’s no grounds for a complaint; it’s not life-threatening.
However, if @mr.smithster has problems in a clean radio environment, that’s false advertising. Not that that’s unusual.

It will be interesting to see if anything happens. Or if the op even gets a response. I wish him the best

It’s not the app that is useless, it’s the conservative but solid system architecture. The aids themselves only allow bluetooth signals to be received from the phone. The aids only allow bluetooth signals to change volume, program choice and state. What else could the app do? For example, the phone only has control over the equalizer for streaming. There is no equalizer in the aids to control the sound received. Maybe in the future.

I totally disagree. The ON app on the iPhone doesn’t serve much use at all it just duplicates what the IOS15 already provides. It takes up extra bandwidth that is in limited supply, due to the limited power of hearing aid batteries.

I received a canned reply saying that they appreciate the report and will look into my complaint but that I would only receive a follow up reply if they need more info. But maybe if the complaints start adding up…
Resound one claims the disclaimer they now inserted on their site covers them. It says not to upgrade to Android 12. Gee, that would have been nice to know BEFORE my phone upgraded. They could have informed audiologist’s so they in turn can notify users, but no. Resound knew of these issues back in October 2021, yet just recently added the disclaimer. And Resound also admitted that they are not even working on the problem and instead are waiting for Android to update. Yet damn near evey audi still uses bt streaming to Android phones in their sales pitch.
Someone replied that we are not the manufacturers customers, and that the audiologist is the customer, we just take delivery. I totally believe that now

I really do wish you the best but hearing compliments seem to be allowed to make exorbitant claims about their aids and are almost never held accountable.

Well, that’s true of pretty much any company in the US. The ads all make exorbitant claims that are marginally true at best…

I disagree. Sure most companies will try to get away with saying anything but eventually gov agencies clamp down on them. I don’t see that with hearing aid companies. But let’s say for argument sake you are correct. That doesn’t mean we should accept it or tolerate it. Or make it OK

If you are unable to downgrade it is possible to delete the app or app cache and connect only the essential aid to the phone / resound app. You can still use both aids but streaming would work in the aid you need it most.

My experience with Bluetooth connectivity reflect these issues … UNTIL I purchased Starkey Livioedge 312.
They work flawlessly with my Android-12 Pixel 3 and the MiniMic accessory transmits perfectly from my sound bar to my .

Good Idea! I’ve gone to ’s with my hearing issue and they all appeared surprised that what I hear is a Donald Duck voice when people talk! My voice has the same effect on what I hear for the last 3 years. My issues were ignored and the “attempt” has always been "Try these . until I buy or no longer see the company. I’m now convinced HA won’t solve the problem and will try to find a Brain MD>.

I have a Resound Phone Clip+ being delivered this week, hoping this solves my streaming issues once and for all. But…not holding my breath. Glad your aids are streaming well with the accessory. How is just direct streaming with no Mini Mic?
Tnx
