Hi,
I plan to purchase phonak paradise . I have a +90db loss over 4k hz.
I wonder what is the difference between an audeo with a power receiver and a naida Power ?

There is a big difference between the UP receiver aids and a UP aids. See the Phonak attachment.
Behind-the-Ear Hearing Aid - Naída Paradise | Phonak9
The powerful Naida Paradise BTE hearing aid provides next level sound, connectivity to smartphones, TV and more, and empowering smart apps.
Looking at your I can not see you needing either the UP receiver or the UP BTE hearing aids. Your hearing loss really is not bad enough for these UP type aids.

There’s a difference between the Naida Paradise UP and Naida Paradise P hearing aids. As @Raudrive said you don’t need the Naida Paradise UP but you weren’t asking about that anyway.
Here are the different fitting ranges for both hearing aids you’ve asked about.
This is Naida Paradise PR fitting range which seems to have a big more of a range in the high frequencies. I think the light grey area at the bottom of the high frequencies means you need ear moulds.
This is for the Audeo Paradise with the P receiver.

Just realised that the Audeo Paradise with P receiver actually gives more gain in the low frequencies.

thank’s for your reply’s
@Raudrive : I was asking about the Naida P not the UP.
@Zebras : this mean that there is no need to go on the as the is enough with the P receiver and the are smaller and more discreet.
So, with the same fitting range a BTE and a RIC will provide same power and sound quality?
A local phonak audi (in morocco), recommend the Naida marvel SP, and as i realy need the multidevice appairing , cause working on visio and phone, I am looking for the right HA on Paradise plateform that i will probably purchase online from france or GB (half price than the local offer)
Another question: While i was testing other HA (signia pure 7 AX) with custom mold, I noticed that the speach clarity was poor and i Have to push the mold deeper (witch heart) to have better, but not good enough, clarity . I precise that i have a tiny ear canal, and I feel like that the custom mold keep the receiver far from my internal ear. Will a BTE resolve this issue?

There is no receiver in the ear with the Naida Aid so you won’t have this issue.

I think so. I personally tried an Audeo Marvel a few years ago and didn’t get on with it but I’ve worn BTE Aids for 30 years so that’s properly why I didn’t like it.
this mean that there is no need to go on the BTE as the RIC is enough with the P receiver and the HA are smaller and more discreet.
Yes they are more discreet but if you produce a lot of ear wax, you may find the BTE Aid less maintenance.

@youssef.ff I don’t think you need a Phonak Naida, your hearing capabilities will fit within a Phonak Audeo Paradise P or UP, see screenshot below based on your from your forum’s profile, red is right ear, blue left ear:
Your hearing care professional should confirm your audiogram before giving you any hearing aids.
You probably better test other hearing aids manufacturer before deciding on Phonak or others, so you can make an informed decision.
Screenshot below is based on your audiogram but for an Oticon More 1 rechargeable:
I hope this helps.

I don’t think you need a Phonak Naida,
Her hearing loss fits both the Phonak Naida PR and the Audeo PR with P receiver so she can get the Phonak Naida if she wants.
The P receiver fits her better then the UP receiver.

With Phonak the Audeo and Naida PR would fit well. The Audeo is smaller and probably much more comfortable to wear. Audeo has much more flexibility.
I would be curious what she can hear above 4000 hertz and does she need the P receiver at all. Using Sound Recover the M or P receivers would fit her well.
Are rechargeable or disposable batteries desired?
Understanding your hearing loss is key to getting the correct aids.
Good luck

Hi all,
It’s “he” and not “she”
but that change nothing to your advices …thanks
@Raudrive: I will maybe opt for disposable battery, as i will purchase from another country and It’ll be hard to ask for repair in case of internal battery fault.
and for the same reason, I plan to acquire a Noahlink & target to do minimal tuning on my HAs. Any advice or link on how to use target?

Had a look at this site. Phonak price looked good at £2,300 per pair but the TV Connector at £499 was silly money. If you do but aids at wholesale prices, what would the audiologist charge to program them?
I know Audios in the US seem to provided frequent check ups. Mine in UK only does a check up every two years - this is the same frequency as or health service provides check-ups. I
My aids, with a TV Connector, warranty and service for 5 years, and spare domes and for 3 years came to about £3,600.

Baltazard, I found that double flange on the Power Dome 4.0S was uncomfortable and switched to Vented Dome 4.0S which were more comfortable.

That company will program the Aids so no need to pay extra for another audiologist to program them.
Yes the TV Connector is a lot but you don’t have to buy that from them.

Hello @roybrocklebank, 14 months ago, I got a set of Phonak Paradise Naida 90 UP ’s for approximately £2,400 from Boots Hearing Care, fitted, and with custom moulds, with free follow up adjustments, and interest free payment over 24 months, twas a no brainer at those prices, and £92 per month, and a £250 deposit. I would check them out to see if they are still doing similar deals? 2 years prior to this, they sold me a set of Marvel 90 with 105db receivers and custom made moulds, and threw in a TV Connector 2 as a freebie for £2,900, also interest free over 24 months…. Boots Hearing Care in the UK, are part of the Sonova group, and therefore owned by Phonak…. Next year if Phonak have another upgrade, I will most likely upgrade again, if I feel that is warranted? Cheers Kev

That’s a very good price. I’ve been getting ear moulds from Boots since 2011 but have never bought hearing aids. I’m going to check it out. Thanks.

You are welcome… Yeah @Zebras, I was reliably informed via a Boots A.uD, that Boots Hearing Care was (prior to the pandemic) doing a roaring trade with their Marvel aids around London, for American clients, they would order online, fly over and stay a couple of days, get fitted up, and fly back…. Saving them money, and they got a break/holiday thrown in, it sounded very plausible? Good luck…. Cheers Kev

Thanks Kevels. I got mine through Veterans Hearing and still have a 3 year warranty left. I hope I need aids in 3 years time but that’s a long way in the future.
