I have had my More 3’s upgraded to V1.4.0 today and have them paired to my iPhone 13 Pro Max (iOS16.1 beta 5 [20B5072b]) and no problems experienced.

Streaming music from phone - ok
voice feedback while typing on phone - ok
handsfree calls - ok
answering hands free call - ok

I am hopeful that my More1 aids will work then when I get them back from Oticon. They are being diagnosed for a few issues and getting the batteries replaced, the rechargeable batteries didn’t last a full year without deteriorating.

Mine disconnect quite often, not every single time though.
Then either only streams usually, sometimes neither will stream.

I am afraid I have nothing to add to your comments. My aids disconnect without a discernible pattern, usually after some time not streaming audio.

@e1405 Sorry to say that no progress was made on the disconnections from the iPhone. The audiologist did the usual things, cleared the pairing in the hearing aids and on the phone and re-paired. It was a different audiologist. (The one I usually see.) I think she didn’t believe there is a “real” problem. She was trying to position it as a permissions issue. I let her know that I wasn’t convinced. I just informed her via an email that the problem is still present and I requested that she contact Oticon. We did also clear the pairings on the ConnectClip (again). It’s working properly, for now, at least. No idea why it worked this time when it didn’t work last time.

That is about all they can do. This issue is a bug in the firmware is what I am coming to believe.

I e-mailed Oticon support yesterday. I will post their response when they write me back.

I emailed Oticon support and the person that replied claimed this is not a known issue. The reply did not clearly explain if he had not heard of it or if he checked and found no record of it. He is going to report it to head office. I will report back here when I receive a reply.

LOL

I love it when that is the response. Do they not have a common database? Or do they not think anyone else has the ability to communicate that this has happened?

WH

They should have it fixed by the first of November, that is what they have promised the , because the new contract goes into affect the first day of November. At least that was what my audiologist told me.

Nothing yet, my audiologist has been out of the office all week, so I question I will not get my aids back until next week. And the firmware update for my aids will not be available to hearing aid users until after the first of November.

I am very frustrated with these big companies. Plenty of bad moves, like waterproof aids that can’t stand moisture, rechargeable batteries that won’t last enough, faulty chargers, connectivity issues with Oticon, Phonak, you name it.

It is what it is, because I have worked as an electronic technician/engineer and also software engineer and IT professional I understand they growing pains of new technologies. I also know that I can’t survive without my hearing aids, and I am not going with hearing aids that don’t work for me just because they are providing something I prefer over what I need. I am also not going to choose connectivity over what I need to hear in my normal life and environments.
But I have to say this it seems over the last maybe 10 years more and more companies are rushing products to market that the companies should still be beta testing. And it seems more and more companies are forcing their customers to pay to be their beta testers.
But as I understand and so many don’t seem to, the communication issues are more complex than a single company. All it takes is a single issue with company A to make company B’s products look bad.
