I am using Compass GPS 4.3 with Noahlink, with Widex Moment 220 hearing aids.
But if you look at the accompanying image, it suggests that it always saves the configuration in hearing aids.
Only when there are changes or always?
I have searched in the program to disable it but there is nothing where I can do it.
Does anyone know why??
Oticon Genie 2 fitting software applies any session changes to the hearing aids while you are wearing them. I believe that all the manufacturers do this!
But then, (at the END FITTING step) Oticon Genie 2 allows you to choose whether you want to save those changes (in the hearing aids. in the databasae, or both).
This got me thinking about what happens during a power outage. So I tested it by killing my computer. The session changes that were in your hearing aids during the fitting session became permanent during the power failure and then you get the settings mismatch warning next time you connect again.
Sorry, the power failure test above was just an aside, (and this may seem like a dumb question) but I don’t have Widex hearing aids for testing. I can get similar results to the @ramonqly Widex Compass results using Oticon Genie 2. But only when I begin a session by starting that session using the Database settings over the hearing aid settings. That is, when the two versions of the settings are mismatched.
So my question is, Does Widex Compass always give you no choice about saving the session changes into your hearing aids? In other words does each fitting session change the hearing aid settings permanently without giving you any choice in the matter?
Here’s my END FITTING similar results when I started a session from the database settings;
