is it possible to change the technical level of Starkey Genesis , i.e. from 12 to 16 or 24? …asking for a friend…

Obviously you mean within the profit software right? But no unfortunately, are they trial models?

that is what I already thought… Starkey offers upgrades. How do they do it? By changing the hardware?

Hello, I have Evolv 1000 Starkey ’s could someone (@tenkan) ? please send me a link to the programming software. Not sure if I need Pro Fit or Inspire software.
As for device, my audiologist has done adjustments wirelessly. I’m assuming from what I read here, https://starkeyhearingtechnologies.com/inspirehelp/en/Wireless/Wireless_Programming.htm4
That I need to find a Starkey 2.4 GHz Wireless/TruLink Programmer? I’ll look on Ebay / Amazon. Unless others can suggest a source. Hard to say if I’ll get something legit on those platforms.
Thanks for your help.

P.S. According to the purchase agreement for my ’s I have Evolve 1000’s So upon looking for programming devices I keep coming up with Evolve 1000 devices. But I don’t think mine are AI – they are not rechargeable, they are basic level HA’s. AFAIK they do not have bluetooth – my provider hasn’t told me they do, anyway. My PC does not detect them when I search for bluetooth devices, anyway. So wondering if I need to be looking for software and hardware for programming “legacy” HA’s? Insights apprciated.

Hi there @hearga yeah from what I’m coming up with is yours are with 2.4GHz so that would be good for a Noahlink wireless programming device, plus for the App? so first thing is install the My Starkey App on your phone and there and try connecting, then you’ll see your exact model.

Called my audiologist for clarification – they are in fact even tho that’s not stated on he purchase agreement.
She did state that My Starkey app will not work with these, I must use Thrive for Hearing Devices which I’ve installed, and it found my ’s. I found a Starkey TrulLink programmer on eBay. Advertised as genuine, and logo on it seems to confirm. So I guess I just need the Inspire (or is it Pro Fit) IDK which is appropriate. Thanks so much for the help!

She did state that My Starkey app will not work with these,
Oh really, but if they’re the model they should have (bluetooth) to work with the “my Starkey App” did you try it to confirm ?
you also stated you have the disposal battery models (312 microRIC is wireless and work’s with Noahlink wireless programming device, however if you have the version that is non wireless, so if you have that model then you’ll most likely need HiPro and cables.

Thrive is for older models and MyStarkey for newer. Some people were upset because MyStarkey is dumbed down compared to Thrive.

Hi John @jiceman , i can confirm that:
Starkey Thrive App is for
Starkey Evolve Ai (Generation 2021), and previous Livio generation
Starkey Livio/Livio Ai/Livio Edge Ai) (Gen. 2018/2019/2020)
Evolve Ai, Livio/Livio Ai/Livio Edge Ai are 2.4 GHz (Bluetooth LE) and can be programmed by Starkey Inspire X and the Noahlink Wireless programming device.
Starkey TrueLink programmer is equivalent to (and behaving like) a Noahlink Wireless programming device, as mentioned in the chart that you have posted.
Note: the Noahlink Wireless is universal programming device and can also be used to programm other hearing aid brands. But i’m not sure if the TrueLink programmer is usable with hearing aids of other manufacturers.
Evolve Ai support audio streaming for Apple devices → Mfi (made for iPhone) and via selected Android phones with support.
See Starkey compatibilty chart1.
My Starkey app is for newer Starkey generation: Genesis Ai1 (2023), Edge Ai (2024), Omega Ai1 (2025)
