Welcome to the forum, sure it’s available, you’ll need the Noahlink wireless programming device as well for your projects.
Check out the user guides as it’s very helpful for setting up the first time.

@tenkan and @firenzel
I do realise this thread is bombarded with requests to you for the Genie 2, But here’s my story and hoping you’d be kind enough to share the link with me too?
Just at the beginning of this month I received my Oticon Xceed 3,
It’s been a great experience so far and obviously each new hearing aid has better features and performance above it’s previous model, but after many visits to my audiologist I had to ask that they turn off SPEECH ENHANCEMENT feature because it’s been giving me issues with the S sound, by over emphasising it at the beginning of words and when a word ends in S it makes it sound like SH. After many attempts at toning the speech enhancement feature down i suggested turning it off completely and that fixed all my issues.
SInce I’m a very person, based in IT work, have experience with flashing cellphone firmware, console firmware, do my own plumbing, tiling and electrical work…i thought why not give this a go?
Fortunately one time my audiologist showed me their screen while toning down speech enhancement and thats where i got the name of the software "Genie 2 " from an this is thread is where google brought me,
After long consideration I ordered a noahlink wireless off amazon today and expecting it on the 9th of November, quite expensive after customs and delivery as I’m in South Africa.
I don’t really want to mess around too much with the settings, but i’d like to see all it has to offer and maybe reduce the sound of my own voice as it keeps changing and it tends to make me talk softer…
Hope you can share the links for Genie 2 with me please?
Another Q, I see in the Oticon Companion app that an audiologist can program remotely, if this is a feature is there even a need for the Noahlink or do they need the noahlink when they program remotely too?

Hi there, sure it’s available and great you have your Noahlink wireless on the way, you sound like the perfect person for , it’s easy enough to do.
As you have your Noahlink you don’t need to bother with “remote fitting” it’s not exactly the best way, not everything can be done anyway, of course you have to have this set up by your audiologist, and then schedule a time and date to have these things done why bother! Just pull out your laptop and do what you need to whenever you feel like it, take your set up to the mall, and have a coffee while programming your “speech and noise” program or whatever, so much easier like this, as no one knows how you hear but you.

Hello, everyone.
May I please get a link to the Oticon Genie software as well? I have a friend who can not hear very clear with Opn s1 for 2 years. Would like to see if I can adjust for her. Thank you so much in advance!

Welcome to the forum, sure it’s available but don’t forget you’ll need the Noahlink wireless programming device as well for any projects.

This is usually where the needs to be made weaker. It happens when it’s set too strong.

Lol I was asking in the sense that if it’s possible to do remote programming via Genie then do we even need to obtain a NOAHLINK device since we could do it “remotely” ourselves via genie ![]()

You need to connect your Aids via the Noahlink Wireless to your computer and then it’ll work remotely but you can’t adjust all things via remote.

Thanks yes, I’ll give that a go, my audiologist turned down the SPEECH ENHANCEMENT setting over multiple days but after 3 days I asked them if we can see how it goes with the feature disabled, and it was a million times better since people no longer sound drunk, especially my favourite youtubers it just doesnt feel right when they say " Yo, whatsh up guysshhhh"
so we left it disabled but I’d like to see if I can maybe enable it from the lowest setting and work my way up until the SH comes back.
And like @tenkan says, no one knows how you hear but yourself, this is so true.
And you also cannot test the adjustments in the audiologists office as the best way for you to test adjustments is to be in your own daily environment…

Oh, sorry it didn’t look that way, but why would all the audiologist’s use programming device’s if they could just set up “remote fitting” in the office, you need the Noahlink wireless to at least connect once to set it up,but yes Phonak could be done as some forum members have done it, but again it makes no sense if you have a programming device to begin with LoL
You could try with Oticon and see if you can do it, then post your results.

Understood, pretty much the same like the Oticon TV adapter, you can’t create a program for streaming on the but the moment you pair with the TV adapter it automatically creates a program.
So remote tuning is probably only just for fine tuning after having initially tuned with the Noahlink.

if i could remote then I would not have gotten the programming device, but all good now knowing that the device is the better route.

Hello all,

Welcome to the forum, sure it’s available, oh that’s very unfortunate that COVID did this to you, maybe it’s not permanent?
But anyways your not the alone in not being able to get your set up just the you like them, so projects are a way forward for some of us.
You will of course need the Noahlink wireless programming device for DIY projects.
