Sonova released the Phonak Audeo line of “ready for LE Audeo” hearing aids over a year ago. Phonak should enable LE Audio and Auracast on their Audeo line of hearing aids as soon as possible.

Of course, it’s serious that Sonova has so far refused to use Auracast. Even more serious is that they also recommend the Roger system for use in theaters. Only Sonova hearing aids with Roger receiver capability are suitable for a direct connection. All other hearing aids must use the T-coil, and the venue operator must have sufficient Roger receivers with neck loops to lend out. Moreover, the signal remains mono. So, that’s pointless. Auracast provides stereo, and eventually, separate receivers will no longer be necessary.
