The new Phonak Eon series of hearing aids now have enabled. Hopefully the Audeo Infinio series will soon also have it enabled. At this time, however, users of the My Phonak app on iOS devices must scan a QR code to connect their enabled hearing aids to an auracast broadcast. Dr. Cliff has put out a good YouTube video explaining how to obtain the QR code for an Avantree Audikast transmitter/broadcaster. It is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6tloAeilWk.6
For anyone (like me) who has a HomeSpot BA210 auracast transmitter/broadcaster, here is a similar process:
How to get the QR code for the HomeSpot BA210 auracast transmitter (broadcaster):
1. Connect the broadcaster to your PC via USB cable
2. Using Chrome browser, go to http://qkaudio.com/webapp/qkcasttool1 (NOTE: you must use the Chrome browser on either Mac or Windows PC)
3. Click "Get Started" on the web page.
4. Select your BA210 transmitter on the pop up page and then select "Connect" - once selected the QK Cast Tool will display your Device Information page.
5. On the Device Information page, Go to the Broadcast Name line.
6. Select the right most icon - the one with the square in it. (it is to the right of the Edit box (the one with the pencil in it))
7. The QR code for your transmitter will be displayed.
8. Print or or save that code so you can scan it in your My Phonak app to have your hearing aids join the auracast broadcast
