Unwanted Volume Changes with Phonak and App

Not an easy combination to fit Peter, with your friend, I struggle quite badly, if my left aid is out, even though I don’t get much contextual information from that ear, I still notice “big time” if it’s unaided… Yeah, TV connector 2, is the dog’s dangly bits :rofl: for the price, it’s the best piece of kit out there, on my iMac i7, it’s absolutely pristine sound quality, for whatever reason? I am off to do some pool coaching with a Scotland International player, I have coached him, for many years, but he’s still a work in progress… Cheers Kev :wink:

We have an ex snooker pro in our league, and he helps coach a lot of younger players in our league. You can tell which ones by the way they approach the table, and their stance.

Yeah, look out for Scott Gillespie & Jason Shaw, Scott won the European Pro event, last week I believe, Jason is in the European Team for the Mosconi Cup, he plays in the US 9 ball tour, he’ll be ranked in the top 10 pro players in the states, both are products of the Scottish Youth, Junior & Under 21’s set up, where I was once the coach, both are former world champions… Cheers Kev :wink:

If you have an iPhone, selecting this feature (voice isolation) which you can only turn on when on a call, really helps. Still not perfect but it helps. [IMG_0815] Also I push my right hearing aid forward so the Mic is closer to my mouth, a bit. Hope this picture helps. [IMG_0816] Not sure how that would work with the tiny Audeo tho as I have the Naida.

My Dad can hear me better through my Phonak Marvel when features are off
I have the Phonak M70 hearing aids. I’m also a self programmer. Something I’ve noticed is when I activate NoiseBlock, SoundRelax and WindBlock, my Dad struggles to hear me when on the phone. When I turn off all those features on the Phone Call program and call my Dad in the same situation (on a very noisy bus on the exact same road) he can hear me SO much better. Just thought I’d post in case it helps anyone else. (Please note, that we have all different hearing loses etc and it may not work…

I experience the same thing in Automatic setting within the My Phonak app. I like the app because it allows me to customize the frequency response of the aids. You can take your aids out of the Automatic setting and use one of the pre-defined or pre-programmed settings, and the volume becomes steady. It seems in the automatic setting, the program is searching for something, and my volume goes up for a couple of seconds and goes back down. It will do this all day long I suppose, if I didn’t change the program. If you’re interested, I can probably walk you through the way I change settings.
