I wear a single Phonak Virto Paradise P90 312 Bluetooth in my left ear (cannot hear anything out of my right ear).

I have started some classes with about 20 students and a single teacher at the front. Each student is on a single desk facing forward. The class sits in a space about 10m by 3m.

I sit on the far left so my good left ear is pointing towards the rest of the group however I am still struggling to hear anyone.

I am looking at getting a Roger device, in particular the Roger ON which will also come with a neck loop.

In the class room set up and hearing aid I have will the Roger ON be beneficial?

Is the Roger on plug and play with my hearing aid?

THanks

I don’t think you can count on it being “plug and play.” Does your hearing aid support ? Is the telecoil turned on?

I have the same ’s. Yes it is Roger ready but you first need the license installed. And then it will work fine as I use the Roger on myself. Don’t know what your role is (not native English) so the question if Roger on helps is for someone else to answer. And you don’t need a (it doesn’t have any for the Virto)

So I’m looking to buy a used Roger On. How do I connect it to my hearing aid?

Also how do I tell the difference if the Roger on I am buying is a V1 or V2?

@TBOX
First have a look at how you get your ’s licensed as this could cost you more then the Roger. Without licensing them first it will not function.
There is written a lot about these topics, you can find it here on the forum.
Also the v1 to v2 is on the topics already.

Thanks. Spoke to my audiologist who contacted Phonak for my specific aid. They replied saying it will work.

My was supplied with a Roger On for trial but I never used it and returned it.

My audiologist also said the Roger On is plug and play with my HA

Thanks for clarifying about the . OP said Roger came with a loop so I was assuming it needed telecoil. I’m impressed Virtos can use Roger licenses.

So I got myself a Roger on V2. But I can’t connect them to my P-312 .

I’ve tried turning HA on and off.

Resetting Roger On.

But still no luck.

Can anyone help?

Just checked product information in the myPhonak app and it states Roger receiver Not installed.

No idea why my audiologist said it was compatible, he even emailed Phonak and they said it was.

Anyway I can fix this myself and get it connected? Really needed this for Sunday

Ahh…you need to install some receivers. Presumably they are in the Roger device.

Try the above.

If it’s a Roger On then I’m unsure as this does not come with the licenses installed.

Usually this then requires a separate boot receiver device or MyLink, which requires .

Let me ask @Zebras . Hi, could you help this gentleman. Can he download (digital) Roger receivers (licenses) to get his Roger On to work? He has Phonak aids.

As I already mentioned in my former post you have to have receiver licenses installed. They always say the aids are working with, but most of the time don’t mention this only if you have the licenses installed. The new ’s from Phonak are said to be Roger ready, since I think it was the Marvels. It means you do not have to first buy and mount the shoes as it was before that.

The ON does not have licenses for that you need to have the ON IN’s. That’s the cheapest way. Then there is the possibility to use the installer, it is more work and more expensive.

So if the licenses aren’t installed on the HA’s you have to do (buy) that first!

Edit: sorry for not being clear enough…

Thanks. Can you tell me how much the licences cost and how I can get them installed to get this Roger On V2 to work?

Sorry - I am aware of all this. I have the Roger On iN and used to own a Roger On as well with a MyLink.

The question is where can one download/buy the receivers(licenses) to install into the aids that will then enable the Roger On to work.?

Do you know the answer to this @kevels55 ?

I’m not @kevels55
But the answer is easy. You cannot download as on a PC.
You have to put the device carrying the license next to you and connect the two devices lying direct in short distance to each other to transfer.
So for use the Roger IN models or visit your . Prices in between $300 - 500 per license service/ installing not included.

Sorry - I didn’t pick up on one crucial bit of detail from your post. You said the Installer, which I presume is the Roger Installer?

I was thinking along the lines of the Roger Upgrader (downloadable software), which I used recently to refresh my licenses in my Roger On iN.

But because it’s a Roger On iN, that holds the receivers, that’s not going to work. We only have the Roger On.

So you are saying to use the installer? Does that come with the receivers installed already? Is that what you mean when you said “device carrying licence”?

In reply to @Emile030

That is my Roger Installer @Emile030… They are as rare as hens teeth! I bought mines from South Korea a few years back, you will see a Type (02) Educational Roger X Receiver plugged in, the green light (just below) tells you it has an onboard license, and is good to go, all you do is place a rebooted Phonak aid on top, for the process to begin to transfer the license, as far as I am aware, this is the only way to transfer type (02) licenses, but it will also transfer type (03)… The process works in reverse, should you wish to remove a license from a hearing aid, back into the Roger x Receiver… Cheers Kev
