Phonak Audeo Sphere Config issues

Hi all,

Got my first set of hearing aids a few weeks ago. The audiologist said that certain things can’t be changed, like the fact that every time you charge them, it reverts back to the Automatic setting, AND that Automatic setting can’t be configured. Seems there are dozens of threads here about the Phonak Target software, but no links to actually download it. So if anyone has that, I’d appreciate it. However, before we even get to that point, can someone tell me if that software even does what I need it to do? I have no reason to install it if I’m still blocked from changing the default settings on these things. I’m to the point where I might return them, but I have a sneaking suspicion that ever vendor has the same terrible/locked settings.

These things can be changed using Target software which is the software that audiologists use to set up your Phonak hearing aids. To use Target you will also need to purchase Noah link device to connect your windows computer to your hearing aids. Noah is usually available on Ebay and sometimes on Amazon. It will cost you $150 to $200 unless you get a lucky buy. If you want to continue send a message to @tenkan to request the Target software.

The Sonova brands of hearing aids tend to have classic bluetooth. Phonak, Unitron, AudioNova, and Sennheiser are Sonova brands. Modern ones can connect to two devices at the same time and pair with up to 8. The other brands out there are fairly restricted in what they can connect to, except for the very new ones which have , but that doesn’t have a lot of source devices to connect to LE Audio hearing aids yet.

I recently got a Noahlink Wireless 2 and the Target 10 software for my Phonak i90 Spheres. I haven’t tried changing the default program that activates when turning the hearing aids on, but I did see what I believe is the setting responsible for that. It’s under the Fitting screen, under Fine Tuning, and then under Program Settings (or something to that affect). There is a radio button that you can click to change the startup program. Sounds like you’ll want to look at that once you get the necessary hardware to connect.

This appears to be partially correct. You can do a lot in Target, but it is super unintuitive (clearly aimed at professionals who don’t care about usability) and how to change things isn’t clear at all! I was able to create a custom program and make it the startup program, which was my ultimate goal, so at least it was a partial win, but I was really hoping I could use the custom program I made in the app, with all of its levels, balance, noise reduction, etc preloaded. But it seems it just makes a brand new program which shows up in the app, but there are no further config settings in the app as the More Settings option is grayed out. I’m going to keep digging, but I am off to a great start. So thank you all once again!
