No-one has heard anything afaik. There was a video where a Starkey engineer seemed to imply that he had some inside information that an announcement might be soon. Who knows really?
They are required by the FCC to support it within 2 years. I don’t think they’d want to be seen to be dragged into it kicking and screaming, so I’d expect an announcement much sooner than that. It also wouldn’t surprise me if it arrives fully-formed and integrated into the ecosystem. Seems to be how Apple do things (but not an Apple fan).

iPhone Bluetooth Support By Model: EveryiPhone.com105
Which iPhone models support which version of Bluetooth? Bluetooth 2.0, 2.0+EDR, 2.1+EDR, 4.0, 4.2, 5.0 and 5.3 support on each iPhone.
Hopefully iPhone 14 and above will be supported as they are Bluetooth 5.3

I think those announcements paint with bright colors and big brushes. I don’t expect fine tech details unless critical to explaining important new major features.
Keep hope!

One thing to be aware of as of last night, Apple announced iOS would be moving to a new version numbering, 26, to support the year 2026.
Honestly it’s pointless speculating about when apple will or will not release this. It will come, like all things Apple, when it comes. I agree it should have come a lot sooner, but in fairness, it’s taken a while to get the standards agreed by everyone and heck even Phonak hasn’t rolled it out yet which proves there are still things in flux where this is concerned.
