Do you refer to Avantree Oasis transmitter? We have different versions and some does not have feature. Pls specify the model number? You can find it at the back of the device.

Why audio delay feels worse in small churches — and what helps
typically has ~40–60 ms latency, which is normal.
In small churches, delay feels more noticeable because listeners sit close to PA speakers.
What usually helps in real use:
-
Sit a bit farther from the main PA — sound travels ~17 m in 50 ms, which naturally aligns timing
-
Use over-ear headphones to reduce direct sound from the PA
-
Balance PA and headphone volume — lower PA slightly in headphone seating areas
-
Test during a live service, not at the mixer (bench tests exaggerate delay)
In most services, once set up properly, the delay becomes much less noticeable.

Are you attempting to receive the Broadcast stream directly to your Samsung A56 or use it as an Auracast Assistant with Auracast enabled hearing aids/earbuds

I think that may be the problem. As I understand it the A56 is capable of acting as a broadcaster i.e. sound from the phone can be received using Auracast enable hearing aids/earbuds. It can also act as an Auracast Assistant i.e. allow you to instruct Auracast enabley hearing aids/earbuds to receive an Auracast broadcast. However, I don’t think that the A56 is capable of acting as a Auracast receiver.
Do you have Auracast enabled hearing aids/earbuds/headphone? If not I believe this is part you are missing.

No, your hearing aids don’t need to support natively in order to listen to Auracast broadcasts.
First, I’d like to thank @d_Wooluf for introducing our FMA120 as an Auracast and LE Audio transmitter last year. Without that introduction, we might never have discovered this wonderful place to connect directly with our customers. Since we launched the FlooGoo FMA120 in November 2023 on Amazon, we’ve received tremendous feedback from early adopters of LE Audio and Auracast, especially from the hearing aid community. As with any new technology, Auracast faces some compatibility challenges, an…

Sorry, for some reason i just saw this message. My colleague Danny mentioned below that this will not work, unfortunately.

Ran into a similar issue, had to update firmware, there are two available transmissions 24khz for hearing aids and 48hz for headphones. Use Updater app from Avantree website for transmitter to update firmware, in that app is the settings tab to select frequency also. Try changing to the other frequency and rescan.

@MarkS is correct — the A56 phone is not capable of acting as an receiver.
A smartphone typically acts as an Auracast broadcaster or as an Auracast assistant when Auracast-enabled hearing aids, earbuds, or other receiver (such as Ranson mentioned) are connected to the phone.

Here is what I have on the Avantree updater:
I was under the impression that it is like wifi, where you can get the broadcast stream on your phone, then send it to an aucacast receiver ( or headphones…).
And I was thinking you could play the stream on your phone’s speakers!!!
Note that it is the same result on sammy S25, so no difference with A56.
====
Update:
I think the phone doesn’t see the stream unless there is an receiver such as HA, headphones or speakers.
So the phone can’t get the stream, from what I’ve just noticed.

Exactly, the phone just simply retrieves the stream information from the receiver and displays it.
Sorry for the inaccurate reply above.
The phone retrieves the stream information from the receiver and displays it. It can then perform interactive operations, such as selecting or switching between sources, entering a password if required, etc.

Another update for those tracking adoption:
Oticon has launched a new hearing aid model, Zeal, with Auracast support in the U.S. (January 2026 release).
It may take some time before clinics have full stock or activation protocols in place, but this continues the broader industry shift toward broadcast audio support.
If anyone here has already tried Zeal with Auracast (TV transmitters, public venues, etc.), would love to hear early impressions.
Also, as usual, there are a couple of FREE Auracast transmitter testing units available for early requesters ![]()
