I am replacing my Lucid hearing aids since one is lost and the other is old. The newer model Lucids are now over 3-4 thousand. At Costco I can get what I think is a comparable for $1500.
What is your experience with the Phillips 9050 or the Jabra Enhance pro?
It’s homework time rcvrp. There are several posts on this topic if you enter the model and brand of hearing aid you are interested in buying in the search function. Here are a couple of links to get you started.
I have a significant hearing deficit in both ears, almost profound in one ear. I am trying to decide between the Philips HearLink 9050 and Jabra Enhance Pro 30 at Costco. Any help or experience you can share with me would be really appreciated.
I’ve had the 9050’s for almost 2 months as a new HA user and see the Jabra is available now at Costco. .y hearing deficit is not great, but i do find the aids to be helpful. What I’ve seen regarding the Jabra is how well they supposedly do with voice in noise situations. I’m curious to hear if anyone has any experience with these 2 HA’s in this regard to be able to say which does a better job. It’s an issue that I can say i don’t feel a marked benefit from with the 9050’s. And maybe they’r…
Understand that your hearing loss is unique to you. So the only way to know for sure is to just try both of them and return the one you don’t like for a refund. You have 180 days to get a refund at USA Costco locations.
Make sure you read up on to see if you might benefit from it.
You are certainly right, it’s very spotty. And these days the new HAs typically do not include t-coils. Overall, it’s a shame that this helpful gadget never really took off, and is still hard to find–in public spaces.

Also you may need a newer phone if you are a Android user to get the most benefit from both hearing aids.
A month ago I replaced my 8-year old Phonak hearing aids with Philips HearLink 9050 aids. I could not be happier, and I heartily recommend that you give them a try. I have relied on the Costco Hearing Aid Center in my local warehouse and their service and support have been exemplary.
I don’t know whether you live near or far away from the nearest Costco warehouse, but a real advantage of the Philips 90050 aids is that they can be adjusted and fine-tuned remotely by your Costco hearing aid fitter using Bluetooth technology so you don’t have to travel to the warehouse for such adjustments.
I have three basic programs set up that I can choose among using the Cell Phone app or pressing a button on the aids themselves – one is for General, the second for Noisy Environments, and the third for Hi-Fi music listening. Also, streaming music from my cell phone directly to the aids works perfectly.
Hope this is helpful to you. Feel free to ask questions if I can help further.
I believe all Costco are better than Lucids and make a solid upgrade to what you currently have. The Jabra Pro 30 features the latest technology and, according to other users, offers the best noise performance. That said, all their HAs are highly competitive. The best way to decide is to try both of them. Sound preference is very personal and varies from patient to patient.

The Jabra 30s, Philips 9050s, and Rexton Reach(?) are latest technology. The Jabras are best at exploiting Bluetooth Low Energy Audio (different from LE and BT) and , but I believe Philips’ and Rexton’s manufacturers promise it.
You’re much better off trying the aids out for yourself than trying to pick a pair based on reading. My reco is to make an appointment at Costco and listen to the staff member’s advice and to a couple of brands’ aids themselves. You may find big, small, or no differences,
The in-store ‘test’ isn’t very definitive. The aids will be setup to fit your , but tweaking can usually improve the fit, and the in-store test is too quick to identify where tweaking is necessary for your best fit, but in-store is all you can get.
If you want one of the models, you’ll have to buy them, with a 180-day refund window. During that window, you can try other brands and fitters. You won’t have any problem returning the 1st pair of aids, especially if you buy and stick with another Costco brand. The refund doc I had to sign did have a provision that they may not honor multiple requests
