Bluetooth or Something Else?

Hello,

Recently, I’ve had an issue! Sometimes, the hearing aids go off for a second repeatedly, which is so irritating.

In the beginning, I thought I was getting some notifications from the phone but whenever I checked my phone, I found nothing. I tried to disconnect the bluetooth and this stopped. Then, I missed calls or important notifications when I forgot to reconnect the bluetooth.

However, one day, I was trying to listen to something on the phone but the sound wasn’t transmitted to the hearing aids although the bluetooth was on. This disconnection also happened then.

When I focused I found that it usually happened in the left ear. This is my weak ear so I’m surprised I could notice it.

Do you have any idea what the issue is? The bluetooth, the phone, the hearing aids (I hope not), or something else?

As I understand, both hearing aids just mute/go silent for a second, but this is not restarting and playing the startup signal tones ?
And this behavior happens only if you have an active Bluetooth connection to your smartphone.

Have you tried to reset the Bluetooth on your phone? What model/maker is your phone?

Do you have your Marvel hearing aids paired to any other Bluetooth devices nearby?
If yes , try to disable Bluetooth on that devices.

Do you have a Phonak TV Connector nearby and the TV connector is switched On?
→ switch off the TV connector while not in use.

Which of your hearing aids is set as the Bluetooth master hearing aid? You can find out in the Bluetooth settings of your phone, or in Target.

No, it’s not restarting.

Yes, but also it happened when the bluetooth wasn’t actually working!

Oppo A94 5G. I tried to disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth. I checked the option of resetting but couldn’t find something like that!

No, my hearing aids aren’t paired with other devices. The right hearing aid is the master one.

I don’t have TV connector. My Roger is off.

It seems something is wrong with the Bluetooth connection.

If you experience problems with the app or Bluetooth, delete the hearing aids from your smartphone’s Bluetooth settings and perform a fresh pairing process again.

If this does not resolve the issues, i suggest to reset the Bluetooth device on your Oppo phone.

To reset Bluetooth on the Oppo A94 5G, go to Settings > Additional Settings > Backup & Reset > Erase All Data (Factory Reset) and select Reset Network Settings. This will delete Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile network configurations without removing your personal data.

Here are the step-by-step instructions for resetting Bluetooth settings:

Open Settings on your OPPO A94 5G.

Navigate to Additional Settings.

Select Backup & Reset.

Tap Erase All Data (Factory Reset).

Select the Reset Network Settings option. This resets Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks to their factory settings without deleting personal data.

Confirm the process with your device PIN when prompted.

Notifications will cause a temporary lull in sound as well.

Turning off all notifications except one or two has helped.

I turned all the notifications off but the issue still persists, unfortunately.

I’m sorry to learn that the description of the
Network-Reset does not fit to the Oppo A94 5G.

Here are two videos with a general description how to reset Bluetooth (and all Network devices) on Android phones.

Thanks a lot! That helped with resetting the bluetooth.

I’ve been trying it for a day or so and no sound block happened so I hope that trick worked!
