You could get the Phillips from Costco wholesale for 1/3 of the price, what makes you feel that Bernafon is the one to go for music, but make sure you do a decent trial before committing, and try not to be sucked into the marketing blurb as it’s all hype from the manufacturers.

Thanks for the comments.
Have you tried either brand with a guitar.
I am not sure what brands costco carries in Ontario? Cheers

Sorry I don’t play pro, but yes with Signia and ReSound I’m happy with, your local store will have the rebranded models Phillips (Oticon parts bin) Jabra (ReSound) Rexton (Signia) you could do some research with these links and of course no harm in taking your guitar in store and strum a few cords to see which you prefer, there’s also Widex that’s got a few musicians excited.

I play classical guitar and use signia ax7s. these come with a pre-installed musician program, as do most brands. It doesn’t matter, the Signias had to have some tweaking done to the Musician program to make them work. It’s easy for an audi to do this, if you can find one who’s willing. Read the articles that Tenkan linked to. I brought in an “audiologist instruction for programming for music” list to show my audi. Even the rep from Signia was initially reluctant to follw those. instructions, but it made all the difference in the world for the better. So don’t make a decision before the Musician program has been properly adjusted.

Also, I think that Beltone will lock their hearing aids so that only their stores can change your settings. Not a good idea.

Hi Jeffrey, are you able to post the instructions to this forum for me to read?
Thanks, Paul

Widex in Pure Sound mode is the solution. I've trialed slmost everything, currently wearing Infinio Sphere Ultra. For guitarists, too much processing, and, more importantly, too much latency; 6-8 mili seconds vs 0.5 for Widex in Pure Sound mode. For eight years I've taken my hearing aids out when I played my guitars. Now with Pure Sound I much prefer wearing when playing and am amazed at how much I've been missing, despite the guitar being a midrange instrument. One caveat, Pure Sound will not work with P receivers, must use M. I got the Widex tip from Steve Lukather. I bought Allures instead of best Moment because they were same price at my preferred online source (Fit Hearing), which leads to one more caveat. Programming Allure requires access to their cloud software. Moment still utilizes downloadable software.

Does that really mean make such a difference? Do you use open or vented domes?

Widex Pure Sound has been literally life changing for me, a 73 year old that has played guitar and drums, at times professionally, for 60 years.
You must use a vented dome for full benefits. I use these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXGV22J6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=14
But check my thread here: https://forum.hearingtracker.com/t/using-phonak-easyguard-domes-on-widex-receivers-a-cross-compatibility-guide-especially-for-guitarists-musicians/135064
