Microphone Filters for Resound Omnia

Does anyone sell Resound microphone filters to us DIYers for the Omnia?

I have the Resound part number for the filter.

It took two years for my filters to finally completely block.

They are easy to access so I’m wondering if I could soak them in some solution.

There are two microphones in the body of the that receive sound through two tiny holes.

Those are the microphones that I am referring to.

Inside the HA are filters at the other end of those tiny holes.

Those filter require removing the ’s case to get to them ( not user replaceable ). There was a coment on another thread that Resound was having trouble with them … I had to send my Nexia’s back to Resound for repair because the michrophones in one aid stoped working.

If you have allready taken the case apart, you could try using eletrical cleaner. and compressed air to clean them. … I did that with my one aid and it did not help, it was not the filter but the microphone or the HA it self.

As mentioned previously, no- so your gonna have to ask your local clinic to get this sorted, no big deal but personally it’s not worth the hassle, just clean them as best you can, the vacuum method seems to be the safest way.
