Has anybody ever tried AirPod Pros with custom molds?

I’m curious if this would overcome some of the issues people had when using AirPods as , namely lack of comfort, poor sound, etc.

If you google ‘airpod ear molds’ there seem to be a bunch of companies offering this.

I understand a major problem with custom molds on Airpods is that they have to be removed each time the Airpods need recharging. I would be interested to know of custom molds where this problem doesn’t occur.

I think that’s true. I’d probably try and trim the charger so that it would fit. If possible.

Honestly I don’t think trimming the charger would ever work. The whole charger is so so tiny and the part where the eartips sits is only a few MM thick near the lid. There’s just nothing to trim there. If you trim below in the charger itself, you risk puncturing the battery.

I think the only way this works is to get better eartips for the airpods. For my money the airpods 3 have really good eartips even for my stupid big ear bowls. I find the sound of them as ’s really good and they last 8h on a charge now which is great. If people worry about battery drain, buy 2 sets and it’s still like a 10th of the price of regular HA’s :slight_smile:

You might be best off with foam tips - sometimes a better and more occlusive fit. Comply brand are considered the best (no COI)
