Am I expecting too much from infinio sphere?

Yeah 20 metres say in a lecture hall which is quiet and a single speaker wearing or holding it. Then you will get their voice straight to your ears and it will be better than a PA system.

Add some chattering or other noise and the quality will go down as the noise increases. Depends what n your level and frequency of loss and lots of other variables. The 20m is under optimal conditions.
