I picked up my Rexton Reach hearing aids yesterday, so it hasn’t been very long, but so far, they are fantastic!
These have a more a subtle/natural sound than my Jabras. The Bluetooth with my Android has been wonderful! It connects well with my zoom call on my phone, which I had nothing but trouble with in the past. And the domes are amazing! They fit perfectly in my ear and don’t budge it all. I used to constantly be pushing in my Jabras domes to get them to go far enough back. And this is after going back and forth trying out different domes. I’ve never had hearing aids before, so I didn’t know how they were supposed to fit. I think I just found out!
I only got one additional mode or program, Noise/party, but there are a ton of choices.
I was really nervous about giving up my Jabras, that were pretty darn good, except for the non-stop Bluetooth issues. There was a good chance that I would have the same experience with the Rexton Reach, since most hearing aids aren’t as elegantly connected with Android phones as with iPhones. Also I hadn’t seen any official reviews mentioning any improvement in Android Bluetooth connection with the Reaches. However, individuals had commented about a good Bluetooth connection, so I took the plunge. Boy am I glad I did! These are fantastic hearing aids! I highly recommend them.

That’s fantastic news, really glad your happy with them, what model of phone are you using with your Reach.

No…I used LE with my Jabras, which apparently didn’t help. My understanding is that the Reach will need a firmware update before I can use LE with them.

Karyn, excellent news. I read a couple of posts that said the phone volume on these was very low. Have you experienced any problems? I also have the s23 and the Jabras were a real pain.

The ambient sound was fine, but my streaming sound was really low when I tested them. The tech made an adjustment to the Bluetooth streaming volume on a 2nd screen per instructions I got from a Costco senior who I met on Facebook, and that worked perfectly. My streaming volume is perfect.

Karyn, one last question and I will quit bothering you. With the Jabra and my s23, sometimes when I would get a call, I would hear the call just fine on the Jabra and sometimes I would have to turn bt off and on to hear anything. After you have had yours long enough to make some calls, have you seen this same problem? Thanks so much for your help/advice.

I didn’t mind the questions at all! I had so many questions myself before I got these.
I had the same experience with my Jabras. I haven’t made any calls with my new Reaches yet, so I will have to come back and answer later. However, I doubt that I’ll have any problems, since Bluetooth has been absolutely perfect so far. The weird part though will be that I’ll have to always use the phone mike, which I didn’t have to do with my Jabras. (Maybe that will change when we get the firmware update for LE audio.) Usually I like to talk to friends on the phone while I’m walking my dog. Since it’s noisy outside, I used to stick one of my Galaxy buds into an ear for the call, so that won’t change.

So the bluetooth streaming is solid, sounds good and doesn’t bounce from ear to ear? I am about to return my Jabras and go back to KS10s until this is sorted out and hands free calling works with my s23 and the new models.

I had a tiny bit of Bluetooth sound bounce when I walked my dog this morning and was streaming music, but just toggled the Bluetooth and it was fine. No other connection problems at all since Friday afternoon, when I got them, including several other dog walks. With my Jabras, it was a regular issue.
I also took my first phone call today (in a quiet room) and I heard my caller clearly and she seemed to hear me well. Success!
I am so happy with these ! My only issue so far is the charger. I love how small it is, but 1) it doesn’t stand up because it has a rounded bottom and 2) it has 2 green lights that flash on and off until the HAs are charged, and then it goes to solid lights, so I have to stick the charger in my nightstand drawer so I don’t have to see the lights blinking.

I have another problem though, the charging contacts aren’t magnetic enough imho, and on several occasions I had the aids loose contact after closing the box and discharging. Nowadays I double check but that’s annoying.

Reginald, per the instructions, page 21:
• Flashing green LED light: charging is in progress
• Solid green LED light: Hearing aid is fully charged
Sounds like you might need a new charger.

Karyn, I lied when I said before that I had one last question. I have another one last question. When describing use of the Reach with a phone, are you saying you don’t need to use the phone mike and you can talk directly through the hearing aids? My final question (maybe). Thanks again.

If flashing lights bother you put some tape over the lights. White electrical tape might allow some light through so you can see the status.

Thanks for posting that YouTube video! I guess I must have a defective charger, since it’s continuously blinks until charged.

I’m not really sure whether I have to use the phone mike for people to hear my voice. I’ve only now done a couple of calls. My phone has been nearby, it’s been quiet, and people hear me clearly, which is pretty darn good!
