I’ve had two occasions where the Sphere I90’s have not charged, once on each . In both cases it seems that even though the devices are flashing as if they are charging they are apparently not seated properly. Has anyone else had this happen and have you determined a method to ensure that the aids are in fact charging? Thx
If I recall correctly, there have been other forum users of various brands/models of rechargeable having a failed charge on one side or the other. Suggestions have included making sure the charging contacts on the charger and the HAs are clean, making sure any speaker wires/domes/custom molds are not forcing the HAs up by leverage, and stuffing something soft but bulky like a wadded lint-free tissue or cloth into the lid of the charger to push down on the HAs when you close the lid.
Consider the possibility the charger is not plugged in securely, or is faulty. If you got your HAs from an audiologist, or an online company that provides a warranty, you might check with them about charger replacement or repair under warranty.
I haven’t had anything like that with my spheres but it happened once or twice with my paradise aids. I always wipe the contact area of the aid body with a tech wipe before inserting into the charger.
