I have Phonak EON90’s a Avantree C82 Aura & windows 11 on a new laptop but 9 times out of 10 I can’t connect to edit my videos but I am stuck as to determine if aids, C82 or windows, has anyone any suggestions because I have emailed Avantree they replied once ask something I had already told them in first email & not responded since so have emailed again asking for a refund see if that prompts a reply.

I asked for some help with the C82 and EON 90’s and this is what the response was. You may have already tried these steps:

To get the best experience and prevent the devices from competing for connections, follow these pairing steps:

  • Phonak hearing aids: Turn off Bluetooth on your phone: Phonak hearing aids aggressively auto-connect to paired smartphones. Turn your phone's Bluetooth completely off before you begin.
  • EON 90 hearing aids: Put the hearing aids in pairing mode: Place both of your EON 90 hearing aids into their charging case for a few seconds, then take them out. They will automatically remain in pairing mode for about 3 minutes.
  • Activate the C82 Aura: Plug the C82 into your Windows 11 laptop's USB-C port (or use the USB-A adapter). Press and hold the pairing button on the C82until the LED light flashes red and blue.
  • Hold them close: Keep the hearing aids near the laptop. Once they successfully pair, the light on the Avantree transmitter will turn solid blue.
  • Avantree C82: Adjust Windows settings: On your laptop, click the sound icon in the bottom right taskbar and ensure the audio output is set to “Avantree C82”.

Hopefully one or more of those steps may help resolve your issue.

Thanks for prompt reply I will try the suggestions but I edit a lot of videos & if I have to go through this every time I will have to look for a solution to the cutting in & out of the classic Bluetooth connection.

I used avantree voyager Ha and had trouble staying connected. Then I downloaded an app called Hear aura to connect to avantree and then scan QR code via phonak eon app. Be sure to print out avantree QR code that go wiith your avantree.

Was Hear Aura able to do this for free? There are many QR Code generators. It's hard to know which is easiest to use for this process flow.

It is a free appp. I can see that my aids are ready for and they showed sync when linked to auracast. Took several tries. Then when ever I need to use avantree and I open up aura hear and click on avantree listed.

I have downloaded the Hear aura app & it is showing aids connected but I have not tried connecting to the C82 Aura dongle yet so will update when I have tried it.
