Hi, I’m just assessed for hearing loss, and reading all I can on the subject. It’s not an obstacle every day, I have noticed some of the adaptations I unconsciously make to understand and reply but it’s killing the music for me.
I’m going to have NHS hearing aid )Danalogic ambio smart) appointment at Specsavers next week, no waiting list in SE London, and I have a letter for the audiologist outlining my problems (speech in noise, lip reading in quiet, no high notes in music) and asking for custom programming for Restaurant and Music and .
Is this overkill, and I should let the audiologist get on with the job?
