I wonder if there’s a current hearing aid which is a WiFiMike equivalent these days? A tiny, flesh-colored, line next to the cheek, with a equivalent processor?
A separate mike, like my current Beltone MyPal, can work. But it’s a royal PITA to the wearer, as it distorts clothing anywhere it’s clipped within auditory range, never-minding the visual distraction it presents, and, if not auditory-wave completely available from the speaker’s mouth, not foolproof, to boot.
A separate mike isn’t a solution to my recurrent issues (a fix, at a great cost of time, in my tweaked settings, seem to last only a month or two, and my MyPal does little in assistance to hearing others other than around a table, in conference mode), but if the PITA element to the wearer were able to be overcome, it might be worth the effort before giving up and going completely deaf-mode (learning sign language, improving my lip-reading skills, and never having other than text conversations unless I’m directly opposite the other person).
Any suppliers with one of these?
Once again, it’s desperation time. My current pages are here:
