Just switched to a new iPhone 16 Pro down from a Pro Max. My Real 1’s have worked perfectly with my 16 Pro Max for a year. I bought a new 16 Pro for the smaller size. I tried to connect my Real 1’s to it using the proper method of pairing with these ’s. The iPhone would see the HA’s and pair immediately. 2 seconds later the phone would drop the connection.
I then repeated the pairing setup again, after I told the phone to forget the HA’s. And the same thing happened again, connect then drop after 2 seconds or so. I spent an hour resetting the new phone to factory, putting the HA’s in the charging dock to reset them, etc. to no avail.
Finally I gave up, turned off the new iPhone 16 Pro, powered up my “old” 16 Pro Max, told it to forget my hearing aids. Then I paired my Real 1’s to this phone. Perfect connection and not one drop-out. It’s rock solid on my 16 Pro Max, but doesn’t work at all with the new smaller 16 Pro.
Much to my disappointment, I have returned the new 16 Pro for a refund suspecting the radio system in it is defective and am using my heavy 16 Pro Max since it just works with my hearing aids.
Is this really an issue with a new phone? Am I doing something wrong, even though through " process of elimination" I’ve pointed to the brand new shiny, sparkly, iPhone 16 Pro? I’d really rather sell the 16 Pro Max and have a new lighter 16 Pro. But since I rely on my hearing aids and a rock solid connection to the phone, the 16 Pro Max is it.
Any info or guidance would be greatly appreciated, if possible!!
Thank you for reading my troubles!!!
