Not that old. They may actually be better hearing aids than the other three state of the art hearing aids at Costco. The only real technology these three have that the Sennheiser aids don’t is LE Audio which is still in its infant stage.
As stated earlier the hearing from any particular hearing aid depends on who is wearing it, not us. Let them make the decision which hearing aids work best for them. Tell them to try all four.

Old enough to be hoodwinked by crafty marketing from Sonova, no I wouldn’t recommend them, I’d recommend they wait for the sphere models to drop into Costco if your only interested in Phonak models, but again my point is people need to know it’s a Lumity and not some new model that’s been released from “Sennheiser”
I know only too well the best HAs are the ones that work best for you, something I always tell everyone, the Phonakians are a pretty loyal bunch!

You do understand there is absolutely no guarantee the Spheres will ever make it to Costco or even the Infinios.

Decisions I have no idea will happen. I can hope for those that prefer the Sonova quality of sound and reliability will come to Costco soon.

The forum has already had members posting about how nice and how well they can hear with the new Sonnite R hearing aids. My hunch there will be many more.

Sennheiser has rolled out to all stores now, it’s a given if Costco keep Sennheiser on they will get Sphere/Infinio

Yep that’s right and there’s even more that just love their Lumity! why you’d think people don’t like Phonak/Sennheiser in this thread?

I would suggest always stating when AI is providing the quoted info instead of implying that your research provided it. AI is frequently incorrect, not rarely - and asking AI for an answer is not “research” in the normal sense. All AI answers need validating by human subject matter experts (who lately are making big bucks in all businesses).

And getting it wrong a lot of time, unfortunately I think it’s a long way from being correct 100% of the time, which is the whole point of using it!

over 45 years of electronic devices R&D developments the AI simply supported what I knew had to be accurate
BTW my AI app is a professional version with 5 different level settings and foot notes for all of the researched answers. But yes you are correct unless you know what you are doing and having the ability and skill set on the opic AI could in be quite misleading, but itthis case it is spot on.

You may have just gotten the p90s late in their cycle. My recollection is that they were replaced with lumities on standard cycle.

I support people here going to costco, but I don’t go myself. It kind of creeps me out.

The parking here is terrible. I’m a car nut. Drivers are awful at COSTCO here.

For me, Costco is a Maze and I dislike shopping. There.

I had a really good experience at COSTCO–eyeglasses

I wanted to find a new source for eyeglasses; I visited COSTCO and handed the lady my prescription.
She said that she wouldn’t sell me their lenses. She said that the lenses I had were better quality.
I asked, “Where should I buy my eyeglasses” She followed up the next day, and gave me the name and phone number for a supplier. I bought eyeglasses from him.

I’m very grateful. I was overdue for new glasses; I found an excellent source.

I would consider hearing aids from COSTCO. Price. Guarantee. Quality.

“newer technology” isn’t always by necessity “better”. Especially since some features or qualities of a given model may be lost or changed by the new updated model. More: people adapt to the sound and functionality of a given model. Suddenly it’s changed. The new features on the ‘upgraded’ model may not be something any given user needs or will use. And anyway, the old meme that technology is racing ahead by leaps and bounds every year, so that a two year old HA is by definition “old tec”…this meme has worn out.

MUST I have the latest version of a computer or server that allows a fraction of a second higher speed access to the same old internet? MUST I buy three d goggles to wear while on my computer and even going to my refrigerator ‘in three d’? No. I’m happy with what I have. And by the way, speaking of old tech…3 d goggles.

The rule of life is, just when you find a product that perfectly suits you—say, a pair of hiking boots–that model is discontinued. Something new and better has come along, say the manufacturers. They’ve added several new features. Now the boots no longer fit. Now I have to go through the long process of finding a new pair of boots that don’t blister my feet.

Maybe try a medical clinic with audiologist to avoid that salesman atmosphere. But the prices are still high.
