Choosing the right domes

I’m a neighbour. Domes were a curse for me.

My dispensing Audi messed up my Phonak Audeo Paradise P90R’s

He specified open domes in target. Many holes.

Closed domes have two small holes

Powerdomes have 2 silicone seals on them. I hate power domes

If I’d listened here I would have switched to moulded inserts long ago.

I think the message here (and all over this forum) is that users need the concepts and tools to assess their results and the software to adjust their own HAs. For sure, never buy HAs that don't come with an app for fine-tuning in several dimensions (loudness, tonal balance, and so on).*

*Rexton Reach app is OK but they arrogantly do not allow the user to store their fine-tuned update ("Doctor Knows Best", eh). So each morning. I reset rather far from the settings Costco left me with (to more gain and less treble).

I find power domes very uncomfortable. One ear canal is a medium. The other is a large. I found that out just before I got moulded inserts.

My new hearing aids have moulded inserts too

I wish our hearing aids had features some earbuds have.

Do it yourself hearing tests.

I wish my Audis and specialists had a way to check my hearing when I am in areas that give me hearing troubles.
