I previously had my ReSound LiNX Quattro set up as ’s and they worked quite well but I still had difficulty hearing conversations in noisy environments (cafes, restaurants, etc). It was recommended that I change to HA’s which would allow more room to have directional microphones. Ever since the change my Audiologist has been tinkering with the settings as I always get a clicking noise in noisey environments. It seems to be worse when there is background noise and then another load noise occurs. The only setting it doesn’t occur in is if they are set up in OMNI. We have tried every other combination including Multiscope Adaptive Directionality, Soft Switching and Natural Directionality II (interestingly in this setting only the Focus HA clicks, the monitor one does not). The HA’s have been back for repair but no fault could be found. It has gotten to a point where I have purchased my own Noahlink Wireless and have tried to figure it out myself (I have a technical background) with Smart Fit 1.7. No luck so far!
At this stage I am just trying to figure out if we are missing something or is there an actual fault with my HA’s.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
