Hi everyone, I have this loss since my birth but I am trying to do something only in the last six months.
For now I’ve got a fitting with openbass dome with a pretty steep bump in amplification for not touch my “normal” hearing.
I was a bit skeptical about my first audiologist (no involved but only in SITU audiometry) so I went to other audiologist that gave my all sort of exams ( bone conduction, , and of course REM) and tried to fit my loss with a new approach, bass dome with double ventilation hole.
Right now I’ve mixed feeling, I love natural sound of openbass but I feel that with bass dome I feel a more “consistent” sound.
It is right to amplify in those wait my loss? With bass dome I feel more occlusion, but audiologist said that I can match target easily in those way.
Attached there is my two fitting pics.
Thank you for your time.
