I have had Costco before. Now that my right ear gave out completely ( doc saw and diagnosed sudden idiopathic hearing loss) I ordered the Jabra Enhance 30 micro with a transmitter. Today I was fitted with it. The fitter knew his Jabra but admitted I was his first with BiCROS. Does any of the following sound right or wrong to you:
- Unlike the volume control when there are two regular aids (rightside button for up and leftside button for down), when there is a BiCROS aid it all has to be done with leftside button (in my case), holding it down a second or two to indicate you want volume down increments next.
- But the fitter said that setting that up meant that that button could not be used to choose between programs now, so my only program would be the default (“All-around”). This was a shock, since nothing about Jabra’s BiCROS warned about this.
- But he said that if I order the Remote Control 2 accessory, it will enable me to access other programs. Since I had told him I don’t want the smartphone app, he assured me that this remote pairs directly with the HAs. I am thinking of getting the remote, but I hope it knows how to relate to the BiCROS.
