I have a pair of Philips 9050 for a year now. Lately, I seem to hear a lot more “noises” than convention. For example, when I am in a restaurant, the ambient noises are much louder than the speech from the people at my table to the point that I have to ask them to repeat themselves. If I remember right, the hearings aids seem to work better when I first got them. Should I pay the Hearing Center a visit?

Do you regularly change the ? Or replace the domes (if they have them)? These things might be impacting your aids.

Your hearing does change over time. A yearly hearing test will see if you need updated programming.

Just a follow-up to my original post. I went to a Costco to have the domes and replaced. While there, I mentioned that my right hearing aid has a little bit of echo/ghosting audio. They gave me a 12 mm dome to try. Surprisingly, the right hearing aid picks up a lot more audio than before and the echo is gone. It has the same effect as if I press my tragus when the right was fitted with 10 mm dome.
