Getting new Phonak infinio Sphere 90's w c-shells. How important is digital 3D ear scanning (Otoscan)?

Like mine (UP, 0.9 mm diameter vent). Very good choice. You should have the smallest vent possible, or even no vent if you can hear mid- and high frequencies without distortion.

I was measure for word recognition without HAs and got about 32% in right ear and 28% in left ear. I was not tested with the HAs on. should I ask the audi to do this when I see him/her?

I only skimmed this but one big plus of acrylic molds is that they are modifiable by grinding a bit of the surface away. Not possible with silicone or titanium. Can turn a painful mold into a perfect one.

Depending on what sound level your word recognition tests were done, your scores and audiogram suggest a cochlear implant might be the best solution. No need to repeat word recognition with your hearing aids. Do need to confirm you’re getting adequate gain and may be worthwhile tweaking frequency lowering settings a bit. If Cochlear implant is feasible for you, I’d highly encourage an eval.
