Apologies if my posting is not in the correct group. I have not used this forum much before.
I had to replace my failed LEFT side oticon Real 2 miniRite R. Since I have a technical and software background I decided to do this myself using Genie 2 (2024.1) and Noah. (Note: I have been successful tweaking and fine tuning my aids with good improvements over the last year or so, using Genie 2 and Noah).
So I purchased a new unopened Real 2 miniRite R and connected to it with Genie 2, but immediately upon connect I have accidentally loaded this new device with the program for the RIGHT ear instead of LEFT ear! Now I am struggling to reconfigure it to be my LEFT aid. I can find no obvious option anywhere in Genie to configure “the side”, (about a million detailed config options but nothing for this simple parameter!) so now I am trying to reset it back to a New empty aid again. I read that I do this by holding down the lower rocker button for 5-10 secs at power-up (removal from charger). When I do this it loads in as a Right side aid.
Can anyone share instructions on how to start again and how to configure it for my LEFT side. I am nervous that even if I can clear it, I will repeat the same error and not be able to force it to be programmed as my left side aid.
