That makes two of us. I hope the voices in noisy environments works well. The Hearing Specialists said that Junas are as good as the Trax. I noticed today in a noisy cafeteria I was not able to hear the food service workers that were speaking to me. I am wearing my old Unitrons.

I still wonder about manufacturers of these occupancy detectors using continuous ultrasonic emissions. I would think that this is something to be concerned about in the workplace. Just because normal adult humans can’t hear it, doesn’t mean that it could not have a long-term effect on one’s hearing. I would lobby management to change them out to detectors.
I wonder if the Trax 42 could have their ultrasonic functions disabled via reprogramming? It would mean that you would have to use the interface with a phone. I never use the ultrasonic interface with my phone, because is is a bit of a pain pair it every time you want to use it.

If it is possible, Rexton never revealed it to my Hearing Aid Specialist. She made several calls to them while I was present, and disabling the Ultrasonic functions was never presented as an option.

Motion Sensor interference:
I tend to believe that your interference is related to the sample rate of the processor. If the HA samples at 48khz and the motion sensor pulses at 30Khz. That only leave 1.6 samples per cycle. A false lower frequency will be produced because of Aliasing. Aliasing occurs when (Sample Rate < 2 x Frequency).
It sounds like a chipmunk because the sensor is pulsed, waits for a return and then pulse again and so on.

I don’t really understand how the Trax ultrasonic system works, but when I use it, I have turn off the , open the app, turn them on and then sync the app with the HAs in the first minute or so, or else they won’t sync unless you turn the HAs off and on again.

I incorrectly referred to the Rextron communication method as ultrasonic communication. It’s actually called Acoustic Wireless Control.

6 of one; half dozen of another, Mikell. All the brands have different names for the same thing. It is part of their marketing scheme. What you said probably describes it as well or better.
