It should be free or extremely low cost under warranty. You know what happens when warranties expire.

Which warranty are you referring to?
I was informed recently that there is an additional timeframe for the repair warranty.
If your hearing aids have been trouble free just keep on going.
If they have given you trouble then you may want to have Costco send them out while still under warranty for one last check.
Assuming Costco

Costco hearing instrument specialist here! Unless you are having issues, there should be no need to replace your Philips 9040s. However, if your repair warranty is almost up, I would recommend bringing it into your hearing aid center and asking it to be sent in for a refurbishment regardless of how they are operating. The manufacturer will often replace multiple components or sometimes just replace the hearing aids. This may help it last a lot longer. The hearing aid center may also have some loaners for you to borrow in the meantime while it’s out for repair. You may also consider scheduling a re-test re-program to update the programming in case your hearing has changed. ![]()
