Music Streaming too loud

Hi! thanks for the reply! I don’t have any EQ, loudness boost, Dolby, or other sound settings activated on my phone or apps. I do have Target, but I don’t want to change my general hearing aid settings in that program. What I want is for the audio coming from my phone — like Spotify, TikTok, and other apps via Bluetooth — to sound normal when my phone volume is around half, and also to give me more room to lower the volume if needed.

I have general at half and for instance youtube at half too. It saves the setting in the app. other than that your only option would be general streaming setting in target I assume.

my opinion is that your audiogram or insitu measurement is wrongly adjusted, it would be good to do it again maybe the hearing aids will not need so much amplification.

the sound can be reduced overall, this must be done by your audiologist. But you should still check the audiogram, because it’s not normal for me that the lowest setting in the application is still too loud for you

But is it better now with the slider down?

The OP is only complaining about the streaming volume, not the volume when the devices are not streaming. Therefore, I don’t see why the audiogram or in-situ measurements could be incorrect since he is not reporting problems with non-streaming. Changing those measurements could affect his hearing when the devices are not streaming.

Streaming volume can be adjusted in Target without changing the audiogram or in-situ measurements. My Phonaks are also loud when streaming and I manually adjust the volume on the phone with no issues.

Maybe I can try creating another client just to check if this setup is okay or completely off. I tried to copy the calibration from my previous hearing aids, which was done by my former audiologist. Because now I live in another country, and I don’t feel comfortable with the callibration of my current audiologist, so I’ve been adjusting things myself. The Bluetooth issue, however, has happened with both pairs of hearing aids.

That’s easily fixable in target - Go to the stream + music tab → program options and the adjust the mic or via the app (but as you say, if you do it in the app, the settings don’t survive)
If you want to modify the streaming volume in Target: The easiest way to do it is to go to Media+Music tab →Automatic Fine Tuning → Loudness as shown in the pic below. Be careful: Make sure you are on the right tab before proceeding.
Looks like you are on the right track to fix the issue.

What type of phone? Android phones have a “media volume” setting that can be adjusted independently. Go to Settings, then Sounds and Vibration, then Volume, then Media and adjust the slider accordingly
