For those that also have pacemakers the following quote from Ampetronic an induction loops maufacturer should of some interest.
“A permanently installed induction loop system will not interfere with heart pacemakers if correctly designed and installed.
It is possible that interference could occur due to a neck loop as provided with some receivers (for example with Infra-red, or similar systems). It is necessary to pin the neck loop away from the location of the pacemaker ensuring 150mm or 6’’ separation between cable and pacemaker.
Interference could also be caused due to portable loops where the loop cable could be held close to the pacemaker.”

Do Audio Frequency Induction Loops Interfere with heart pacemakers ?
Under normal circumstances, a correctly installed induction loop system does not interfere with heart pacemakers. A minimum separation distance of 2 inches (50mm) should be maintained between loop cable and pacemaker to remove any potential for interference.

As I was advised by some good folks on this forum, why take the chance.
