New user constant static

Hi, I’m a new hearing aid user but I’m struggling with them. After a few days I started to hear a horrible static noise, even when I’m in a quiet room I changed the batteries, cleaned and changed the tubing, disconnected from Bluetooth etc and the noise is still there.

I even got my dad to put one next to his ear to see if he could hear the static, which he did

I took them back to the hospital this morning to be checked. The audiologist rang me and said that they couldn’t find an issue and it’s just a learning curve that’ll eventually improve is that normal?

If you’re still in your trial period, I would take them back and try another brand and see it the problem happens with them. If it does, then your audiologist is right.

What are the chances that the static is feedback and you’re not getting them front enough into your ears?

Malfunction static is usually pretty easily audible on a listen check.

You were the first hearing aid error, instead of really described how I feel like using the Phonak Audeo 70 R Spheres may I ask what aid you moved to, as I feel I’m unable to use the spheres also too much swoosh buzzing whatever you call it I hear other things but speech is not very clear here for the price to be honest..

I stayed with the spheres. They have now been replaced by Phonak twice, once for the static, the second for receivers, rapid battery drain, magnet problems.
