Just got my first set of (Oticon 1) and am in day 4 of 45 day trial period period.
They work great for speech. But there are two big issues.

I have tinnitus, and it seems to be much worse with the HAs. I hear a steady sound moving between several fee high frequencies that is loud enough that it it is very difficult to ignore it, as I do with the normal tinnitus sounds. Could this be the “hiss” that a lot of people experience? And how long should I give my brain to get used to it?

Music quality is terrible. 75% of my listening is classical, 20% jazz, and the rest a mix. It’s hard for describe what’s wrong, but I think that whenever the music jumps or drops suddenly in volume, the resolution of the high frequencies collapses and I can’t hear the individual instruments clearly but rather, for a fraction of a second, it just sounds like mush, of the sort you hear when an audio speaker “clips,” ie is driven at a volume it is not built to handle. It is far worse when I listen to streamed music, even when it is delivered in a lossless format, than when I listen over my audiophile speakers or listen live.
