Oticon compression settings help needed

Hi,
In order to optimize my hearing aid for tinnitus relief (see https://forum.hearingtracker.com/t/amplification-strategies-to-reduce-tinnitus/94469/2) I am trying to adjust the compression settings on my Oticon Real 1.

In an article from Oticon they show the slider for “soft sound perception” to adjust the kneepoint for compression.

The problem is that I cannot adjust the slider as it is grayed out in VAC+ and entirely unavailable in v5a.

Who can help me to manually adjust this setting in VAC+ and if possible also make kneepoint adjustment available in DSL v5a?

My left is greyed out and my right isn’t as my left has more power.

You’ll need to change to a more powerful receiver to not have it greyed out.

This is what I was told by my audiologist at the hospital.

Those sound settings like soft sound perception are indeed only accessible in VAC+. Whether the slider is greyed out has mostly to do with the stored . If a hearing loss is very mild and, therefore, not needing a lot of gain and/or compression, Oticon assumes that this parameter is not necessary. I have not tried this, but if you do in situ audiometry and just record a flat 30dB or 40dB hearing loss you should be able to access the soft sound perception slider. However, I have found that most of the time it just raises or lowers soft gain. Keep us updated though!
