I can relate to everything you said. I’ve been demo’ing a pair of Oticon Intents 1 after a bad experience with Widex Allure 440s. Based on everyone’s reviews I had good hope they’d work well for me. Hasn’t been the case. Although overall these are MUCH better than the Widex for me which caused me to walk around saying “There’s no way I’m this deaf.” Everything sounded so unnatural. At least with these, sounds sound like it’s supposed to just with the added “static” sound.
The first pair we ended up returning (and the little red and blue markers had chipped off the body after a few days of wearing which made me question the build quality of that pair). The second pair has been better but not great either. My audiologist has been fantastic though and is trying everything he can think of (we even changed out the 85 wires to the lower ones which did help mildly).
I like how they perform in noisy environments but at home their own noise is driving me nuts. I also have low frequency hearing loss issues (someone here mentioned you did do upon seeing your ).
I don’t have any suggestions … just wanted to let you know you aren’t alone.
